About Freddie Mercury
Freddie Mercury is one of the greatest personalities in the rock music industry. His original name is Farrokh Bulsara. He was born in the year 1946 and died at the age of 45 years. He was a well-known British singer and song composer, recognized all over the world, and also known as one of the greatest singers of the rock music industry. He was seen multiple times performing with the Queen band group. He has composed many hits for Queen such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Don’t Stop Me Now, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, etc…
He has done many live concerts one of which was Live Aid. Live Aid concert was held in multiple locations on 13th July 1985, not just in the USA alone but all over the world. Freddie and his team also performed in that concert. The Live Aid concert was originally held to raise funds for famine in Ethiopia in the years 1983-1985. Live Aid show was a hit as it gathered around 162,000 people from London and Philadelphia alone. They successfully raised a lot of funds to help the people of Ethiopia.
In 1987 Freddie was diagnosed with AIDS. He made his last Album “Made in Heaven” which was released in 1995, after his death. In 1992 a tribute concert was organized and also to raise awareness about AIDS.
