Baldi’s solitary hair strand is his funniest and most defining physical trait. A single brown pipe cleaner or craft chenille stem is stiff enough to hold that peculiar forward curl without flopping down. Bend the wire into a gentle arc, leave a tiny flat hook or coil at the base, and anchor it directly to the apex of the bald cap using a drop of spirit gum, liquid latex, or strong adhesive. Because pipe cleaners weigh almost nothing, the curl stays upright even as you turn your head.
Exaggerated Face Details
Baldi’s face is characterized by wide, staring eyes and an exaggerated red mouth stretched into a stiff grin. You can mimic his distinct mouth shape using novelty oversized red lips or by applying vivid red lip paint well past your natural lip line to achieve that cartoony, wide-open smile. If you use theatrical grease paint or liquid lipstick, set it with a dusting of translucent powder so it won’t smudge while you talk.
Footwear and the Wooden Ruler
Down at the feet, Baldi wears sensible, plain tan or medium brown slip-on loafers. Rubber-soled driving shoes or casual penny loafers match his teacher persona without drawing unnecessary visual attention away from the vibrant shirt and head.
