Because covering yourself in full prosthetic fur suits is hot, expensive, and restrictive, assembling this build around a dark blue spandex base lets you get the silhouette and color down without building a mascot suit from scratch. The trick is breaking up the sleekness of the spandex by adding heavy fur textures at the extremities and framing the face with the right facial hair and ears.
The Base Suit and X-Men Trunks
A dark blue unitard gives you full-body blue coverage without needing hours of body paint from the neck down. Snug spandex forms an even background color across your torso, arms, and legs. Since unitards can look somewhat bare on their own, layering black compression shorts over the outside instantly breaks up the expanse of blue and establishes Hank’s athletic combat gear.
