Tord Larsson Eddsworld Costume Guide

Tord’s design relies on a straightforward streetwear silhouette dominated by bright red and structured hair. The animated look translates cleanly into real clothing because it is built entirely from functional everyday garments rather than complex fantasy layers.

Because the outfit consists largely of a hoodie and dark pants, the distinction comes from color placement, hair shape, and specific visual cues like the undershirt collar and face bandage. Getting the silhouette right means paying attention to how these simple pieces sit together rather than overcomplicating them.

The Red Hoodie and Gray Undershirt

The core piece of the costume is a bright scarlet or crimson pullover sweatshirt. Tord wears a standard hooded sweatshirt featuring a front pouch pocket, long sleeves with ribbed cuffs, and an unzipped front. A boxy, slightly relaxed cut works better than an athletic slim fit, reflecting the relaxed animation style. The fabric should have enough weight to hold its shape around the torso without drooping excessively at the shoulders.

Peeking out at the collar is a simple gray crewneck t-shirt. It is a subtle detail, but having that distinct gray band visible around the base of the neck breaks up the transition between skin and the red fabric. A standard medium gray cotton tee worn directly underneath the hoodie matches the character design without adding uncomfortable bulk.

Styling the Horned Wig

Tord’s hair is the most demanding technical element of the build. His caramel-brown hair features two sharp, forward-pointing peaks at the crown that resemble small horns, alongside messy bangs and a short, tapered back. An unstyled synthetic wig straight out of the package will not have these horns built into the fiber structure.

To shape the horns, divide the front-top sections of a light brown wig into two equal triangular bases. Working with a hairdryer on low heat and strong-hold hairspray or crafting glue, tease the roots upward to build a dense internal support structure. Smooth the outer fibers over the teased core, gently curving the tips forward, and set each spike with heat before trimming any stray fibers to sharp points.

Jeans and Footwear

Below the waist, Tord wears plain black jeans. A straight-leg or regular-taper cut balances the volume of the pullover hoodie nicely. Skinny cuts tend to shift the proportions too far away from the animated silhouette, while oversized cargo styles introduce unnecessary pockets and clutter. Plain black denim without fading, distressing, or decorative stitching keeps the lower half clean and focused.

Footwear consists of classic low-top skate sneakers featuring black canvas uppers, white rubber toe caps, white foxing along the outsoles, and white laces. The contrast between the dark body of the shoe and the clean white trim mirrors the animated look directly without requiring any painting or modification.

Face Bandage and Accents

A white bandage serves as a recognizable accent for Tord, representing his rougher edge and later appearances in the series. Depending on which chapter of the animation you reference, this can range from a single adhesive strip across the bridge of the nose or cheek to more extensive head and arm wrapping following the events of The End.

For convention wear, breathable medical gauze or adhesive cohesive bandage tape works best against the skin. Heavy industrial tapes trap perspiration and irritate skin over several hours, so lightweight first-aid wraps are far more comfortable. If wrapping around the temple or jawline, secure the ends with small bobby pins tucked into the wig wefts so the bandage stays anchored without squeezing too tightly.
