He spends the journey across Asia and the Middle East in a mustard-yellow polo, sturdy khaki trousers, and practical outdoor gear suited for long travel.
What sets the costume apart from everyday clothing is the specific styling and silhouette. The wide-brimmed fedora, the contrast of white gloves under black forearm bands, and his weathered silver beard transform standard travel garments into a distinct character presentation.
Core Wardrobe: Yellow Polo and Khakis
Start with a short-sleeve yellow polo shirt. Aim for a warm mustard or golden-yellow shade rather than a pale pastel or neon bright. A mid-weight cotton pique polo holds its collar shape well and gives the upper body a grounded, structured look. Joseph has a muscular, broad-shouldered build, so choose a classic or athletic fit that sits cleanly on the shoulders without excessive bagginess in the sleeves.
Pair the shirt with straight-leg or relaxed-fit khaki pants. Tucking the polo neatly into the trousers is essential for capturing his 1980s silhouette. Secure the waistline with a simple brown leather belt featuring a standard brass or silver buckle. The Fedora, Hair, and Beard
Joseph’s brown fedora is his most prominent silhouette marker. Choose a medium-to-dark brown felt or wool fedora with a pinched teardrop crown and a dark brown or black ribbon band. The brim should be medium width and relatively stiff so it holds its shape. Wear the hat angled slightly back on your head rather than pulled low over your brow, leaving room for your gray forelocks to show underneath.
His hair and beard are salt-and-pepper leaning heavily toward solid silver-gray. Twist three or four pipe cleaners together end-to-end to create continuous vine lengths, then snip shorter pieces to twist on as small protruding thorns. Coil the main vines loosely around your gloved fingers and palms, letting a couple of thorny tendrils trail past your wrists.
A vintage Polaroid camera is the ultimate accessory for Joseph, nodding directly to his psychic photography moments where he smashes cameras to reveal DIO’s location. An older boxy instant camera slung over your shoulder on a neck strap instantly establishes your character in photos.
If you want to include the group’s unruly mascot, carry a small Iggy plush under one arm or let him peek out from a shoulder bag. It adds an entertaining visual detail that fellow JoJo fans will immediately appreciate.
