Ennui’s design in Inside Out 2 centers entirely on slouch, comfort, and an overwhelming sense of lethargy. She is draped in oversized loungewear with long limbs, limp posture, and deep indigo and cool grey tones throughout.
Because the outfit relies on everyday loungewear rather than tailored armor or complex garments, putting the pieces together is fairly accessible. The real challenge comes down to nailing the exact proportions, styling the distinctively floppy hair, and handling her greyish-blue complexion without making a mess.
The Slouchy Loungewear Base
The core clothing is a monochrome navy tracksuit. In the film, Ennui wears an oversized dark blue crewneck pullover paired with matching relaxed-fit joggers. Sizing up by one or two sizes helps mimic her draped, elongated frame, allowing the fabric to pool naturally around the wrists and ankles without looking stiff.
Standard cotton or fleece-blend sweat sets work best here. Shiny athletic fabrics or polyester tracksuits reflect light differently and pull away from the matte, exhausted mood of the character. Try to match the top and bottoms in the same dye lot or navy shade so the outfit looks unified.

Ennui wanders headquarters without real shoes, wearing simple grey knit socks. For a convention floor, walking around in bare socks is impractical and often prohibited. Dark Blue Hair and Silhouette
Ennui’s hair is one of her most distinct visual features. She wears a dense, dark midnight blue bob with long, sweeping side bangs that partially obscure her face.
A synthetic dark blue wig with heavy bangs provides the baseline. To get her signature heavy, downward-sweeping fringe, use low heat from a hairdryer paired with texturizing pomade or light hairspray to direct the bangs across one side of the forehead. Avoid overly voluminous teasing, as Ennui’s hair should hang limp and relaxed rather than styled and bouncy.
Blue-Grey Complexion
Her skin tone is a desaturated, cool indigo-grey. A water-activated cake makeup or grease-free cream body paint gives an even layer across the face, neck, and ears.
