His silhouette centers on the contrast between the bare-bones tactical fabrics of his chest rig and cargo pants against the distinct mechanical elements of his cybernetic arm and gauntlet.
Pulling this look together relies heavily on getting the tactical layering arranged comfortably. Because the design mixes close-fitting base layers with bulky webbing, straps, and protective padding, managing how each layer sits against your body will determine both how accurate the build looks and how easily you can move in it.
Base Layer and the Asymmetrical Arms
The core top is a simple black compression t-shirt, which provides a clean dark base that stays tucked beneath your harness. It also creates a flush boundary where your arm pieces meet your shoulders, preventing bunching around the armpits.
Bucky’s cybernetic left arm is the most recognizable feature of the costume. Printed or textured compression arm sleeves give you full mobility without the rigid restrictions of molded armor, sliding comfortably under the short sleeve of the compression shirt.
