His dark navy layers hang slightly looser, his sleeves remain shoved high up his forearms, and a distinctive white-and-black sash hangs at his waist to denote his past service in the Twelve Guardian Ninja.
Recreating his appearance centers on pairing that tactical uniform with his specific accessories and weapons. Because the under-layers function much like comfortable athletic wear, assembling the costume is largely a matter of layering the vest, sash, and leg wraps correctly.
Base Navy Layers and Forearm Styling
The core undergarments consist of a matching dark navy blue top and bottoms. A simple Navy Blue Crew Neck Sweatshirt paired with matching Navy Blue Sweatpants gives you the correct matte fabric finish and unrestricted movement. Unlike other jonin who keep their long sleeves pulled down or tucked into gloves, Asuma pushes his sleeves up past the middle of his forearms.
Instead of full gloves, he wears a Black Wristband on each wrist. This leaves bare skin visible between the pushed-up sweatshirt cuffs and the wristbands, an easy styling detail that immediately distinguishes his silhouette from characters like Kakashi or Guy.
The Jonin Flak Vest and Guardian Sash
Over the navy sweatshirt goes the green Jonin Ninja Flak Vest. The vest features the upright padded collar, front utility pouches, and zippered front closure typical of Leaf Village commanding ninja.
